We launched our new YouTube channel! Dive into a world of informative tutorial videos tailored to help you master SoFi. We help you getting started with SoFi, learn new skills and stay up-to-date on the newest functions in SoFi.

Our YouTube channel provides easy-to-follow tutorials on everything from starting SoFi to showing you some tips and tricks on how to use SoFi even more efficiently. We are still at the very beginning with our channel and the videos, but we want to make sure that everyone has access to the resources they need to get state-of-the-art source apportionment results. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, we have something for everyone. So check out our channel today and start learning something new!

SoFi Users Meeting 2023 – Program

We are looking very much forward to seeing you on May 22/23 for this year’s SoFi users meeting! We have a great program scheduled, including some great announcements. Please also check out the amazing user presentations that we have lined up. They cover a wide range of very different applications of SoFi to a huge variety of different data sets. We thrilled to see you soon!

SoFi 8.5.0 and SoFi 9.4.0 now available

Check out the newest SoFi version! It contains some bug fixes but also so great updates to make your analysis even more fun:

  • We added the Xact to the instrument list, with this option you now have access to the Xact reference profile database also from within SoFi. If you are working with Xact and have some published profiles that you are willing to share and believe that others could also benefit from, please let us know
  • In case you have HR AMS data, we added the option to not only have the average OM:OC, O:C, H:C, N:C and S:C for the PMF factors but also in the explore panel as a function over time to easily identify special events or measurement periods.
  • For people using Igor 9, there is now the option to do hierarchical clustering of your PMF factors and external data (as an image plot). We will continue to expand this function also into the criteria panel.
  • If the input size is too small, SoFi returns a more specific error message.
  • SoFi RT is now gap-safe in case the instrument was not measuring for some time.
  • We solved the issue that in some cases, Igor crashed without warning when the checkboxes “up to m/ 100” and “x-label” were clicked on.

SoFi Users Meeting 2023

This year’s SoFi users meeting takes place on 22./23. May. Similar to previous years, it will be a virtual meeting. Tentatively, the meeting will last from 14:00-18:00 (CEST) and will include:
– news about SoFi, including details about the new features in  SoFi 9 and SoFi Real-Time
– user presentations
– a Q&A session, as well as time slots for individual support

Further details, such as a detailed schedule, will be circulated in the week before the meeting. Please register by 8. Mai 2023, if you plan to attend. There is no registration fee, but further information about the meeting will only be sent to those who signed up.
