Program
This is a tentative program (besides start and end time which are fix). We will start on Monday 13.4.2026 at 9 am at the hotel and we will finish on Wednesday 15.4.2026 at 4 pm. We don’t know the exact meeting room yet, but they can be found if you head left past the registration desk and then one floor downstairs.
Social dinner
Will be held on Tuesday evening, details will be announced during the workshop.
What to bring with you
This workshop is designed not only around lectures and tutorials but also provides participants with dedicated time to explore all the features of SoFi and gain proficiency with PMF. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice using either your own dataset or a dataset provided during the workshop.
To make the most of this experience, we kindly ask you to bring the following:
- Laptop with Igor 8 or Igor 9 pre-installed. If you use a Mac, please ensure you have a Windows emulator installed, as the ME-2 solver requires a Windows environment. For those who do not have SoFi yet, we will provide a temporary ME-2 solver and SoFi Pro license key.
- If available your own dataset. Also bring along external measurements, such as temperature, trace gases etc. If you don’t have data, we will provide an ACSM dataset that you can work with and can download here (link will follow).
Please note that Switzerland uses type J power plugs and sockets, which is different from what is typically used the EU.
Workshop material
You can find here the newest SoFi version and in case you do not have the ME-2 solver and/or SoFi Pro yet, also a temporary ME-2 license as well as a temporary SoFi Pro license. Furthermore, you can download an ACSM dataset (the one we will use for the workshop) if you do not have your own dataset yet. The password for the access is shared in the email.
Accommodation
We offered the option to book a hotel room for you in the hotel where we have the workshop. The single room is at 163.50 CHF/night, the double room at 203.50 CHF/night. The room rates include breakfast (6:30 – 10:00) and the city tax. Please contact us immediately if you want to take advantage of this option, if not done so already with the registration.
Costs
The workshop fee as well as the accommodation has to be paid in advance. We will send out personalized invoices to all participants, please see conditions there. Some personal expenses during the workshop should be expected. The the workshop fee includes the workshop costs, coffee breaks and lunch (drinks not included).
