SoFi Pro can change the a-value systematically so the user does not have to do it manually. If the option “1st dim. sensitivity” is selected, the a-value is changed systematically from the “initial a-value”, using the step interval given by “a-delta” up to “final a-value”. This allows studying the PMF outcome as a function of the a-value. E.g., selecting “1st dim. sensitivity” with a starting a-value of 0 and final a-value of 1 and a delta of 0.1 will lead to 11 PMF runs. If the option is selected for several constrained factors, the a-value will change in all factors the same way, i.e., not all possible a-value combinations will be run.
The same goes for higher dimension sensitivity tests. Currently, 2nd up to 5th dimension sensitivity tests are supported, where all possible a-value combinations can be tested. E.g., the first factor has a final a-value of 1 and a a-delta of 0.2 and performs a one-dimensional sensitivity analysis. The second factor has a final a-value of 0.5 and a a-delta of 0.1 and is linked with the two-dimensional sensitivity analysis. SoFi will perform 36 runs (6 x 6 runs).
